Are you still having problems with your skin even after using various cosmetics as a way of trying to take care of the condition? Well, the types of skin care ingredients present in your choice of cosmetics could be causing you this kind of suffering. Without us knowing, the ingredients present in the skin care products that we often use play a vital role in determining whether our skin is well taken care of or damaged in the process of using these beauty products.

Common skin care ingredients include, synthetic chemicals and chemical preservatives, Vitamins, Herbals, natural Antioxidants and so on. Among these ingredients, synthetic chemicals and chemical preservatives such as Sulphate, top the list of skin care components that usually cause more harm to our precious skins. When we use products containing these synthetic chemicals, our skin cells often react harshly with the ingredients and as a result, the skin is usually left badly damaged and with more problems than ever before.

On their part, Vitamins have also been widely used as skin care ingredients for quite some time now. This is seen to be an initiative to look after the skin by nourishing it with natural beauty. Examples of vitamins widely used as components of cosmetics include a type of Vitamin A known as Retinoids and generally Vitamin A in its entirety. Retinoids are powerful substances found in some of the anti-aging moisturizers present in the market. They are well know for their ability to help reduce wrinkles as well as improve the tone of the skin. These vitamins work by speeding up the process of cell division something that helps to quicken the skin’s renewal process and prevention of skin collagen from breaking down. However, Retinoids are also known not to work well with pregnant women since research has shown that high doses of vitamin A during pregnancy may be harmful to the unborn child.

Natural herbals on the other hand, are the only skin care ingredients that have not been reported to cause any form of harm to the skin. As direct result of this revelation, many people have been seen seeking beauty products containing herbal ingredients so as to assist their skins to benefit from the contents. Examples of natural herbals present in cosmetics include organic lavender and restorative organic chamomile extracts. The lavender helps to sooth the irritating skin while chamomile helps to cool and strengthen tired skin. For babies, baby products which have soothing organic aloe Vera ingredients can safely be used to moisturize dry skin that may appear after the baby has taken a bath.

Natural antioxidants and neutralizing stimulants being the other types of skin care ingredients used in cosmetics, are known to work by helping out with the process of cleansing impurities away from the skin without having to strip moisture from it. Natural antioxidants such as Hawaiian spirulina and neutralizing stimulants such as organic maychang and lemon balm, are known to maintain the delicate balance of skin oils and moisture something that makes it possible for the skin to remain fresh and glowing all day long.
